Community Experiences
Our three signature programs bring once-in-a-lifetime experiences into your community. Whether you are a library seeking an end of summer event, or an organization looking for a unique bonding experience, we offer your patrons and guests an unforgettable day.
Butterfly Hand-feeding Tent
This 10 x 20’ screened tent is full of 100 Monarch nectaring on fresh flowers. Participants use hand-feeding sticks to get an up close and personal view of the Monarch and its behaviors. The tent is accessible to families from 10am-4pm and averages 500 visitors depending upon your event advertising. This experience is consistently raved about and is one-of-a-kind. Call or text for more details. August dates available. Six weeks notice is required for scheduling. References available upon request.
Cost $2,000
Butterfly Release
Releasing butterflies as a group brings community together with peace and grace. Our releases have honored those we’ve loved and lost, celebrated milestones such as the end of cancer treatments, remembered the past and set good intentions for the future.
Average cost $1,000 per 100 butterflies.
Monarch Migration Tagging Day
This event is timed with peak Monarch Migration in the Chicago area around September 15th. The 10 x 20’ tent is set up to tag and record relevant data with the help of your volunteers. Tagging 100 Monarchs for Monarch Watch generally takes 2 hours. The experience works best when you provide additional activity stations for patrons to interact with. The grand finale is a mass release of tagged Monarchs. Call or text for more details. September dates are available. Six weeks notice is required for scheduling. References available upon request.
Cost $1,500
